Meeting with ENEDIS

ENEDIS, manager of the public electricity distribution network of the French territory, met the SMI – Smart Meter Inclusif project during an important and constructive meeting in its development and progress. On this occasion, three representatives of the company were present:

  • Jean-Luc DELBOSC, Deputy Director – Development, Alsace Franche-Comté Regional Direction;
  • Philippe CHAMPEVAL, Delegate Director for Territorial Affairs Alsace Franche-Comté;
  • Pascal BERTRAND, Linky technical expert of the national cluster.

This meeting allowed two interesting points of view in the energy sector to come together. The project partners and ENEDIS were able to introduce themselves and represent each other. On the one hand, the project presented its objectives and actions to ENEDIS representatives. On the other hand, ENEDIS presented the Linky meter to the project partners present.

This new meeting also provided an update on the progress of the project’s research. Thus, Virginie SCHWEITZER, PhD student working on Workpackage 3: Modelling household acceptance of smart meters, presented the first results in her analysis of social representations of smart meters, in particular the Linky meter. In the same way, the PhD student Daniel WEISSHAAR presented his results within the framework of Workpackage 5: Artificial intelligence for the development of smart meters. In particular, he presented his advances in the practical realization of the SMI.

The meeting concluded with a visit to the Collines campus of the Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse. Thus, the parties presented today discovered the photovoltaic and storage facilities on the campus. The real-time simulator OPAL-RT was also highlighted on this occasion.
